SRINAGAR : Working president of the National Conference (NC) Omar Abdullah today said summoning of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) over Government formation by Governor N N Vohra was Good.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, former Chief Minister said Good. The state can’t be treated like a play ground by these two parties.
He was reacting to a tweet which said Jammu and Kashmir Govt formation: Guv NN Vohra tells PDP, BJP to make stand clear on alliance by Feb 2.
Jammu and Kashmir is under Governor’ rule since January 8 following the death of Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at the AIIMS, New Delhi on January 7 after the PDP-BJP combine failed to reach to any conclusion on government formation.
Besides Mr Omar Abdullah, his father and NC patron Dr Farooq Abdullah and majority senior leaders of the party have questioned PDP continued silence over government formation with its alliance BJP to end the uncertainty.
However, the PDP has authorised its president Mehbooba Mufti to take the final call on government formation with BJP. Ms Mehbooba had made it clear during yesterday’s party meeting that any move forward on forming the government with the BJP was possible only after she was convinced that here father’s (Mufti’s) dream of peace and reconciliation was fulfilled.
