JAMMU, Apr 23: N. N. Vohra, Governor, and Usha Vohra, First Lady, visited the Painting Exhibition on “The Grandeur of Pashmina Goat” at the Amar Mahal Museum here this afternoon. This 4-day Painting Exhibition, put up by Babar Afzal, a local artist of Jammu, concluded today.
The Governor and the First Lady went around the Painting Exhibition and evinced keen interest in the artist’s work on display.
The Governor observed that though the theme of the exhibition is “The Grandeur of Pashmina Goat”, Mr. Babar has actually interwoven varied serious issues, including the impact of the progressive global warming and climate change, in his art creations. He suggested to Mr. Babar to organize an exhibition of his work at Leh and perhaps also at FAO and UNEP.
A number of art lovers and visitors were present at the concluding function of the exhibition.
