SRINAGAR, May 16: Governor N. N. Vohra and Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today greeted the people on Shab-i-Mairaj.
In his message of felicitations, the Governor expressed the hope that the celebration of this auspicious occasion would further strengthen the bonds of amity, harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the State.
In his message of felicitation, Mufti Sayeed said the holy occasion should remind all of us the hard struggle that Prophet Muhammad (SAW) launched for the good of humanity and how he ascended the heights of glory as a result.
He also highlighted the principals of Islam pertaining to human service and welfare of poor and needy.
