Governor, CM greet people on Guru Hargobind’s Day

JAMMU, July 4: The Governor N N Vohra and the Chief Minister Omar Abdullah have greeted the people on Guru Hargobind’s birth anniversary and sincere hope that celebration of this auspicious day would strengthen the bonds of amity, harmony and brotherhood and be a harbinger of peace and prosperity in the State.
The Governor in his message of felicitations has observed that Guru Hargobindji’s noble example of selfless service, based on the high values of righteousness, truth and love is more relevant today that at any time in the past. He prayed for well being of the people of the State.
The Chief Minister in his message to the people, especially the Sikh community said that the State has rich tradition of celebrating holy occasions and festivals in amity and brotherhood. “This trait needs to be further strengthened” he said and prayed for peace and development in the State and the country.
