NEW DELHI, Aug 19: Gold prices rose 0.06 per cent to Rs 28,311 per 10 grams in futures trading today as speculators enlarged positions amid a firming trend overseas.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, gold for delivery in October moved up by Rs 17, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 28,311 per 10 grams in a business turnover of 265 lots.
Similarly, the yellow metal for delivery in far-month December traded higher by Rs 18, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 28,356 per 10 grams in 8 lots.
Analysts said a firming trend bullion in the global markets supported the upside in gold prices at futures trade here.
Meanwhile in Singapore, gold traded higher at USD 1,299.85 an ounce from USD 1,298.40 yesterday. (PTI)
