Goel to review power projects today

JAMMU, Sept 28: Union Power Minister Piyush Goel will hold high level review of power projects being constructed by National Hydro-electric Power Corporation (NHPC) in Jammu and Kashmir tomorrow.
Goel, who reached here this afternoon, left for holy cave shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi ji, and will have a night halt there. He paid obeisance to Goddess Vaishno Devi ji.
He will return here this morning and review power projects being constructed by the NHPC tomorrow morning.
The review of power projects by the Union Power Ministers comes within couple of days after Prime Minister chaired a meeting on review of Indus Water Treaty (IWT) with Pakistan
Apart from review of power project, the Union Power Minister was also expected to discuss with the NHPC officials the pros and cons of revoking the Indus Water Treaty with Pakistan which covers Chenab, Jhelum and Indus (Sindu) rivers in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh and Sutlej, Beas and Ravi in Punjab.
