Srinagar Nov 30: Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen AK Bhatt today visited the forward areas of Kupwara sector to review prevailing security situation along the Line of Control (LoC).
Accompanied by the GOC Vajjra Division, Major General JB Chaudhari, the Chinar Corps Commander visited different units, wherein he was briefed on the Counter Infiltration Grid and operational preparedness of the formations.
He also reviewed various developmental works being undertaken to improve the life of people residing in remote areas.
The Chinar Corps Commander was appreciative of the measures and Standard Operating Procedures instituted by the units and formations to meet the challenges posed by the inimical forces.
Later in the day, the Chinar Corps Commander also visited Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tikkar in Kupwara district.
