SRINAGAR, Mar 15: GOC 15 Corps Lt General Om Prakash called on Governor N. N. Vohra, at Raj Bhavan here today.
During an hour long meeting, the GOC briefed the Governor about certain important aspects related to border management in the context of the increasing attempts being made by Pakistan to enhance infiltration across the LoC.
Gen Prakash also informed the Governor about the role being played by the Army in supporting the State and Central Police Forces in dealing with militant activities in various parts of the Valley. The Governor stressed the importance of effective coordination among all the Forces, particularly in the context of the stepping up of subversive activities.
In a separate meeting, the Governor was also briefed by the senior most officers of the Central Intelligence Agencies.
