GMS Panditgam renamed after martyr Ram Charan

KISHTWAR, Oct 20: In order to honour the sacrifice made by the valiant soldier while protecting the country, District Administration Kishtwar in collaboration with Chief Education Officer (CEO) Kishtwar today renamed Government Middle School (GMS) Panditgam as “Shaheed Ram Charan Memorial Government Middle School Panditgam”.
The School has been renamed after the Martyr Ram Charan of village Panditgam who laid his life in the line of duty while serving in J&K Police.
Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav was the chief guest on the occasion while ACP Kishtwar Zakir Hussain Wani, Chief Education Officer Kishtwar Sudershan Kumar Sharma and ZEO Kishtwar Ranbir Singh were guests of honour.
Tribute was paid to martyr here in a ceremony organized in the premises of the School wherein the mother and family members of martyr, local PRIs, prominent persons besides staff and students of the School and staff of district administration as well as CEO office Kishtwar also remained present on the occasion.
Meanwhile, speaking on the occasion, DC Kishtwar remembered the sacrifice made by Ram Charan while performing his duty to protect the safety and integrity of the nation in fighting against the terrorists. While highlighting the significance of renaming the school after the martyr, the DC said that it is a proud moment for us and hoped that students will now be motivated to serve the nation.
CEO Kishtwar while speaking on the occasion said that though the void created in the family by the loss of martyr can never be filled but renaming the school after the martyr will be a great tribute to the martyr.
