GMCEJ holds Alumni Meet

JAMMU, Mar 4: Gandhi Memorial College of Education organized an Alumni Meet at its campus today.
The objective of the meet was to bring all the Alumni on a single platform for exchange of new ideas for the professional development of the students as well as to help them renew contacts with old friends. GMCEJ is the oldest and among the front runners in imparting education to the students and holds strong social ethics.
In his welcome address  Prof G.L.Koul, Principal GMCEJ  said that the role of Alumni has been tremendous in the meteoric rise of the institute as it is on the basis of their valuable experiences and feedback that they have been able to achieve this position. A strong gathering attended the Alumni Meet and shared their experiences on this occasion and further recalled their memorable stay in the college. They also conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the college management and their dedicated teachers for providing them the right kind of training and environment. As the day, progressed the batch mates and friends started to mingle with each other. Among those present were eminent educationists and intellectuals from various educational institutes of great repute largely formed the gathering. Prof. B.L Thusoo, Dr A.K.Sapru, Prof Ramma Koul,  Dr.Usha Tickoo and Prof G.L. Koul , five principals of various College of Education were also among the Alumni. Prof N.K.Dhar also spoke and gave his valuable suggestions for the development of the college.
Prof Sunil Tiku (Member Finance HESK) was also present on this occasion, while felicitating the Alumni, he  said that   they are an integral part of the institution and such meets act as a home coming for them, when they can reminiscence about their days in the college.
