GMCE starting admissions for fresh batch of journalism

JAMMU, June 3: The admissions for the fourth batch in three years degree in Journalsim and Mass Communication are open at Gandhi Memorial College of Education Raipur which is part of Hindu Education Society Kashmir (HESK).
The forms for admission have been issued and the last date of receiving the same is June 15. This was stated at a press conference by A K Raina, general secretary, HESK, Prof B L Zutshi its Member Education, Virender Raina Executive member, Prof H L Misri HoD, Satish Talashi, incharge Principal and Bihari Kak member HESK.
They said the admissions for Journalism and Mass Communication have started and our results in past three years are excellent with several candidates getting positions.
Raina while giving further details said that Gandhi College is only college in the private sector in entire J&K State which is running degree courses in Journalism and Mass Communication. The College is affiliated with University of Kashmir.
He said the Gandhi College has signed MoU with Modi University for allowing apprenticeship to its students in Modi University. They have also proposed that meritorious students of the College would have the opportunity to go to US and France for advance training, he added.
Raina said there is a good faculty in GMC’s Journalism and Mass Communication Institute for imparting training to the budding journalists. The institute has an advanced media lab and high-tech equipments. The College is also having NAAC accreditation, he added.
He said at present college is having students across the State and it has a excellent women hostel with all facilities.
