SRINAGAR, Dec 8: A posting order, now labelled as ‘fake’ by the authorities, has come to the fore, purportedly issued by the Administrator of Government Medical College (GMC), Srinagar.
The said order has been issued regarding the posting of Junior Pharmacists and Medical Assistants, who, as per the ‘fake’ order, have joined recently, now awaiting posting, post fulfilment of the necessary formalities.
Officials said that they have started an inquiry to trace the origin of the order issued on November 23 this year under the reference of various orders, directing the employees listed to report to the concerned Medical Superintendents in various GMC Associated Hospitals for further duties.
A formal communication has also been issued by the Administrative Officer, GMC Srinagar, in this regard, informing the concerned Medical Superintendents and Accounts Officers, about the said order, terming it ‘fake,’ noting that the same has not been issued by the GMC.
The concerned officials, including the Medical Superintendents as well as DDOs, have been directed not to entertain the said order, which, it said, is in accordance with the directives issued by the Administrator GMC, Srinagar.
It is to be noted here that the fake order has listed 6 people, who, it said, joined in November, notifying their place of posting as well as the drawl of salary.
Out of 6, the place of posting of 2 has been supposedly shown L.D. Hospital Srinagar, against the available posts of Junior Pharmacists, while the place of posting for the rest has been stated as Children Hospital, Super Speciality Hospital, SMHS and Bone & Joints Hospital, Barzulla.
While the officials said that the necessary action as per the law will be initiated against those found indulging in such malicious actions, the Medical Superintendents and DDOs have been asked not to entertain hard copy orders which are not verified, authenticated from the administrative office of the GMC, Srinagar.
The officials said that the concerned authorities have been asked to entertain only those orders which are uploaded on the official website of the GMC, Srinagar or sent through the e-office. “The hard copies should be entertained after thorough verification of the same.”
Pertinent to mention here, earlier a case had come to the fore in which a clone website of the Health & Medical Education (H&ME) Department was created, leading to a complaint and the subsequent arrest of the accused.
Interestingly, the accused had cloned the data as well as the interface from the official website of the H&ME while the fake orders of appointment etc, referencing the H&ME Department were also created and uploaded. While the case remains sub-judice, the bail plea of the accused was recently rejected by a local court here.
