JAMMU, Apr 16: In a major boost to development of research and accademic activities in the border districts of Rajouri & Poonch. Government Medical College, Rajouri in collaboration with GMC Jammu conducted an advanced workshop on Good Clinical Practice and New Drug Clinical Trials.
The key spokesperson of the workshop was Prof. (Dr) Vishal Tandon from department of Pharmacology, GMC Jammu who is a National expert in the subject expert committee. Dr Tandon elobarated upon the good clinical practices and also made young medicos aware about the art of writing a good research paper.
The workshop cum CME was attended by about 200 deligates. Speaking on the occasion, Prof. (Dr) A S Bhatia, Principal, GMC Rajouri emphasized the need for conducting such type of academic activites which will motivate the young faculty and students to develop interest in clinical research which will go a long way in improving patient care services in the remote peripherial hilly areas.
The workshop was attended by Dr. Syed Shuja Akhter Qadri, HoD Community Medicine, GMC Rajouri, Dr. Qazi Najeeb, HoD Biochmistry, Dr. Rity Slathia, HoD Anatomy, Dr. Aman Sharma, HoD Pharmacology, Dr. Satbir Singh HoD Forensic Medicine, Dr Suhail Bandey, HoD Anaesthesiology among many others.
Dr Harleen Kaur , Professor of Microbiology was the special invite as molecular expert on the occasion.
