GMC Principal inaugurates Employees Health Clinic

Two Assistance Counters set up

JAMMU, Oct 11: Government Medical College (GMC) Principal and Dean, Dr Sunanda Raina today inaugurated `Employees Health Clinic’ in Medicine OPD and two `Assistance Counters’ for common masses in Casualty and one in OPD with name and style of `May I Help You’.
The counters will guide and assist the patients and their attendants in getting their treatment and diagnostic tests done without any inconvenience.
With the opening of `Employees Health Clinic’ in the Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, a long pending demand of the employees has been fulfilled. The employees of Associated Hospitals can also visit the `Employees Health Clinic’ for health checkups of their own as well as their family members and don’t have to wait in queues for consultation with the doctors.
The ‘Assistance Counters’ will be manned by the students of Ancillary Medical Training Institute, GMC Jammu under the supervision of Principal, AMT School Jammu.
Speaking on the occasion, GMC Medical Superintendent, Dr Dara Singh hoped that general public especially the patients from far flung areas will be benefited by this initiative.
Samita Sethi, Administrator, Associated Hospitals Jammu, Ansuya Jamwal, Personnel Officer, Associated Hospitals, Dr Rakesh Kumar Sharma, Deputy Medical Superintendent, GMC and Dr Rehana Khurshid, Deputy Medical Superintendent and other members of the hospital administration were present on the occasion.
