GMC Kathua performs major pancreatic surgery

KATHUA, Feb 22: In continuation to its already undergoing initiatives for benefit of patients of Kathua District,GMC Kathua today conducted first ever Cysto-Gastrostomy .
Under patronage of Principal GMC Kathua Dr.Anjali Nadir Bhat ,first ever Cysto-Gastrostomy was done by GMC Kathua by team of Surgeons led by Dr.Ravinder Kumar,Associate Professor Surgery and assisted by Dr.Hilal Ahmed .
Anesthesia team was led by Dr.Rajesh Angral.The surgery was performed with active cooperation and guidance of HOD Surgery Dr.Raj Rishi Sharma.
A 20 year old male patient presented to Surgical unit 2nd with large and tense pseudocyst pancreas (2 litres of volume). Patient was worked up and operated today.
