KATHUA, Sept 1: An impressive function was organized today at Government Medical College (GMC) Kathua.
The function which marked the beginning of new MBBS batch (2023-24) at GMC Kathua, commenced with the lighting of traditional lamp Principal of the College, Prof (Dr) Surinder Kumar Atri.
HoDs (Heads of Departments) from various Medical Departments were present, signifying their support and involvement in the students’ education and training. The students, along with their parents, attended the ceremony. Faculty members from different departments also attended the function.
Dr Sabita Yograj presented the welcome address and thereafter, Principal shared his vision for the new inductees. He laid emphasis on quality medical education and the importance of ethics and professionalism in the medical field.
During the ceremony, the new students adorn aprons and stethoscopes, symbolizing their entry into the medical profession. They took an oath, pledging to serve mankind and provide healthcare without discrimination.
