Glowing tributes paid to Sayil

JAMMU, Jan 24: On the occasion of the 84th birth anniversary of legend poet Late Pt. P.N.Koul “Sayil” tributes were paid to him in Abhinav Theatre auditorium today. A galaxy of the society gathered on this day and brought alive the fond memories and teachings of the great poet, whom they described the pride of Kashmiri Pandit community.
Programme started with “Sayil Pyar Thanae” a beautiful depiction of Sayils coming in this world to make a name and frame for himself and the society. This beautiful song was composed by students of ‘Abhay Higher Secondary School, Muthi”.
Chief guest was Dr. R.L.Shant and special guest Neha Jalai. A Book release entitled “Lol Vachan” written by Late Pt. P.N.Koul “Sayil” was the glory of the proceedings.
Its excerpts were presented by (Vyeth Production). Rich tributes were paid by Hasrat Gadda and T.N.Ganjoo (Vishwas) to Sayil. Lol Vachan was presented by Pairey Hatash. The programme progressed into a mushaira by noted poets J.N.Sagar, P.N.Shad, A.K.Naaz, B.K. Sanyasi, B.N. Abhilash, Ashok Gowhar, Rajinder Agosh and Dr. Anita Sharma. Songs were composed by Virender Langoo and were sung by advocate Sanjay Raina and Jyoti Raina. The audience were enthralled by the songs sung by Deepali Watal and Naina Sapru chief guest Dr. R.L. Shant and special guest Neha Jalali spoke on the occasion.
They paid rich tributes to the legendary poet. The programme was organized by Prithween and Sons, Chinar Art Foundation and by Kalpana Kala Kendra and supported by J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages. Anchor Kusum Dhar conducted the programme. Vote of thanks was given by Ravinder Koul. Mementoes as mark of appreciation were presented by the organizers.
