Glowing tribute paid to martyr Thakur Dass Sharma

JAMMU, Sept 12: Glowing tribute were paid to Lieut. Thakur Das Sharma on his 58th martyrdom day who laid down his precious life while defending the borders of the country during 1965 Indo-Pak war. Mahamandleshwar Mahant Shri Rameshwar Dass of Purani Mandi, Jammu, paid tribute to the martyr by garlanding his bust. The brave son of soil who embraced martyrdom while fighting bravely with Pakistan army.
Rajeev Sharma, former MLA, Akhnoor was the chief guest. He also paid tribute to the valiant army officer by garlanding his bust. Guest of honour and renowned social worker, Satya Pal Saraf also paid homage to the martyr by garlanding his bust. D. K. Kapoor, S. K. Sharma, president and secretary as well as entire Executive Body of Akhnoor Sports Club paid rich floral tribute to the brave army officer. Family members of the martyr were also present on the occasion.
