JAMMU, Dec 2: DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi today exhorted upon officers to be proactive while dealing with public issues. He laid stress for cent-per-cent utilization of CAPEX Budget in the current financial year.
Chairing a meeting of officers of PWD Division-3 here today, the DDC Chairman reviewed the present CAPEX plan of District Jammu and also discussed other plans including City and Town, NABARD, bridges, UT CAPEX Budget, etc. He also reviewed the ongoing and upcoming development works of Marh, Bhalwal Brahmana, Chowki Choura, Pargwal, Marh, Khour and Maira Mandrian Jammu which are falling under the jurisdiction of PWD Division-3.
Vice Chairman DDC Jammu, Suraj Singh, councillor Brahmana Bhushan Bral, Sarpanch, Prem Singh Chib, Sarpanch, Sham Lal Sharma and ex Sarpanch, Dhanantar Singh and Tilak Raj Choudhary were present in the meeting.
Bharat Bhushan laid stress upon the officers present to carry development works on priority basis in the way that the aspirations of the people can be satiated fully. He also asked the officers to submit their further plans. He directed them to fast-track the ongoing development works in the entire Jammu district so that the same should be dedicated to people as soon as possible.
The DDC Chairman also expressed satisfaction over the utilization of 80 per cent CAPEX Budget this year and asked the officers to make all possible efforts for utilization of hundred per cent CAPEX Budget in the current financial year to avoid fund lapses.
The DDC Chairman asserted that development of rural and far flung areas are the priority of the Government and the picture of rural areas has dramatically changed during the last eight years. Yet much more needs to be done, he asserted.
Bharat Bhushan instructed the officers present to adopt utmost transparency and sincerity while performing their duties. He said that the Government has no paucity of funds as the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi led Government at the Centre is quite liberal in case of J&K therefore it is important that funds should be utilized judicially and the works be completed on time.
