JAMMU, Aug 5: MLA, Raipur Domana Constituency, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi, today said that Government should give power to Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) without further delay to take the democracy at grass root level.
He said this while addressing a public meeting convened at upper Gharota area today.
He expressed concern over the failure of power supply to the people of the area, which has also affected the water supply badly.
The people from Kandi belt, Seri Panditan, Dar Danocha, Kanger, Kot, Bhalwal, Kalakam and Nadhoal area complained the MLA about the badly affected water supply since last two months.
Elaborating the detail of development schemes in his constituency carried out by him, Bhushan said that he is committed for overall development of his constituency and sought support from the people in taking his mission forward.
Roads including Simbalwala to Tersha via Khadwal, Nadwal to Kalama, Derwan to Seri Panditan, Gharota Fagwari, Amb Chowk to Satorwan via Ghaink, Gumpul to Manyal Brahmana are to be completed soon, he said adding Rs 25 lakh will be spent on electrification also in this year.
