UDHAMPUR, May 7: A young girl was allegedly kidnapped by some people from Udhampur area before a day of her marriage.
A police spokesman said that one Kirpal Singh, hailing from Kuperla village near Udhampur has lodged an FIR No. 208/ 2019 at Police Station Udhampur, alleging that his 19-year-old daughter, went for shopping at Udhampur Bazaar on May 5. Her marriage was on May 6. Later, it was learnt that she has been kidnapped by some people in a vehicle.
The police registered a case and started investigation. She could not be recovered and the marriage function was cancelled.
