REASI, Sept 19: A young girl committed suicide by jumping into river Chenab from Kanthan bridge in Arnas, here today.
Reports said that 20-year old Pooja Devi, daughter of Parkash Chand and resident of Dhanour, tehsil Arnas, jumped into river Chenab.
The matter was brought into the notice of Arnas Police by some locals, following which a Police team reached the spot.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police have registered a case in this regard and started investigation.
