KATRA, Aug 28: In an apparent case of suicide, a young girl was found hanging at her house in Ward number 1, near Petrol Pump Katra, here today.
According to the Police report, Jyoti Devi, age 22 years, daughter of Late Prem Chand, was found hanging in her house.
On being informed by the family members, a Police party reached the spot and shifted the dead body to CHC Katra for postmortem. After completion of all the legal formalities, the dead body was handed over to her legal heirs for last rites.
Cause of provocation behind the extreme step could not be ascertained while Police have registered a case in this connection in Katra Police Station for further investigation.
