KISHTWAR, June 17: A girl was drowned while crossing Singhpora stream along with her brother’s wife, here.
As per police sources, a girl identified as Sonu Devi (24), daughter of Dev Raj of Aripora Inderwal was crossing Singhpora stream along with her brother’s wife, when they got trapped into water flow.
The girl got drowned into water, while her brother’s wife managed to escape.
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and divers were pressed into fish out the body of the drowned girl.
However, the operation to fish out the body was suspended late in the evening today due to darkness and will resume tomorrow morning.
Chatroo Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
