UDHAMPUR, July 21: A minor girl drowned while taking a bath in Birmah nullah near here today.
Reports said incident took place when 10-year-old Marzeena, daughter of Ali Asgar, resident of Rotapark in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh, presently residing at Birmah area had gone for taking bath in the nullah. Some ladies were bathing clothes while children were bathing. The girl slipped into deep still water and drowned at around 3.45 pm. Locals and police reached there and the body was fished out. Later, it was sent to Udhampur Hospital.
