JAMMU, July 5: A 24-year old girl who had allegedly tried to end her life on Saturday by consuming some poisonous substance, at her residence in Bakshi Nagar, today passed away at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu.
According to a police spokesperson, the girl identified as Vidushi Bala daughter of Vinod Kumar, a resident of Bakshi Nagar (Jammu) had allegedly tried to kill her by consuming some poisonous substance at her residence on Saturday.
In critical condition she was rushed to GMCH Jammu, where after battling with the life for whole night she expired in the wee hours of today.
The body of the deceased was handed to her legal heirs for last rites after conducting post mortem and completing legal formalities.
The concerned police has already taken cognizance of the matter.
