UDHAMPUR, Sept 5: Two persons including a girl allegedly committed suicide at different places in the district.
As per police sources, a girl namely Salmi Devi, daughter of Hamir Chand of Kathyal, Majalta was found hanging with a tree near her residence.
On getting information, police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to hospital, where after conducting autopsy, the body was handed over to family members for last rites.
Meanwhile, Sudesh Kumar (32), son of Bad Lal of Srad, tehsil Chenani, allegedly committed suicide by consuming some poisonous substance at his residence.
Finding him unconscious, family members rushed him to Sub District Hospital Chenani, where he failed to respond to the treatment and breathed his last.
Bodies have been handed over to their family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Cases under relevant Sections have been registered at concerned police station and investigation started to ascertain the reasons behind such extreme steps by them.
