DODA, Sept 22: Government High Secondary School, Dessa organized a debate on the theme “Biodiversity Conservation”, here today.
On the occasion, Ayaz Iqbal Mugal, CEO Doda Zone Bhagwah was the Chief guest while Om Parkash Katoch Principal/I/c ZEO Bhagwah, Tanveer Ahmed Wani Principal High Secondary School, Doda, Gulail Singh, ZEPO Bhagwah,were the guest of honour.
C P Thakur District Co-ordinater NEAC also delivered lecture on NEAC/Paryavaran Mitra programme.
In his speech detailed delebration were made on the conservation of plants,green plants and endangered species like Conservation of Nag Chhatri (Local herb) and animal as well as other natural resouces related to sustainable of life.
During the programme a rally of students was flagged off by Parshotam Gouria, Senior Principal High Secondary School, Dessa. He asked the students to use this programme to make masses aware,understand and visualize the impact on environmental balance through human interference.He stressed upon the cleanliness of insaintary condition of the streets.In debate and Painting Competition the students were awarded prizes.
The public of the area was happy and welcome the step being taken awarness and visit of Chief Education Officer Doda to the remotest part of the district.
