Ghagwal police rescues 2 bovine animals

SAMBA, Apr17: Ghagwal police today rescued two bovine animals during vehicle checking at a naka at National Highway Tapyal. A police party headed by Inspector, Rajeev Kumar, SHO under the supervision of Deepak Digra, Dy.SP Hqrs Samba during routine vehicle checking at a Naka which was laid on NH Tapyal signaled one Mahindra bearing Registration Number JK08D/7678 coming from Kathua side to stop. During checking of the vehicle two bovines were tied with ropes inside the vehicle which were being transported illegally.
The driver of the vehicle identified as Manjoor Ali, S/o Mohd Ismail resident of Suchet Garh, R.S Pura Jammu was arrested on the spot and vehicle used was also seized. All the bovines were rescued and shifted to safer place.
In this regard, a case FIR No. 39/2019 U/S 188 RPC, 2/3 PC Act was registered at P/S Ghagwal and further investigation was taken up.
