SAMBA, June, 14: Continuing its drive against the bovine smugglers and their propagators, district police Samba under the supervision of SSP Samba, Dr. Abhishek Mahajan, today foiled an attempt to smuggle bovines by rescuing 15 bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station (PS) Ghagwal.
Acting on an information received from reliable sources regarding illegal transportation of bovines, a police party of PS Ghagwal near Naka Tapyal, Ghagwal NHW intercepted a truck bearing Registration Number JK03D/7143 for checking.
During checking of the truck, 15 bovines were found laden inside it which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported without proper permission.
In this regard, a case FIR No.88/2022 U/S 188 IPC 11 PCA Act was registered at PS Ghagwal and investigation started.
