Drug peddler arrested with ganja

JAMMU, June 14: Narwal Police arrested a drug peddler and recovered ganja from his possession.
As per police sources, on reliable information a team from Police Post Narwal led by SI Achal Rana under the supervision of SHO Inspector Nayat Ali, SDPO East Syed Zaheer Abbas Jafari and SP South Mamta Sharma laid a naka and intercepted a person, who was moving under suspicious circumstances.
During checking, police team recovered 1.5 kilograms of ganja from the possession of the person and arrested him.
The arrested person was identified as Ravi Samitra, son of Hari Samitra, a resident of Odisha.
A case under relevant Sections has been registered against the arrested person at Police Station Bahu Fort and investigation started to ascertain the source of the consignment and other persons involved in this illegal trade.
