SAMBA, June 8: Ghagwal Police today arrested a drug peddler and recovered 175 Proxyvon SPAS capsules from his possession at Main Chowk Ghagwal.
He has been identified as Puneet Singh, S/o Hoshiyar Singh, 30, R/o Kharote tehsil and district Kathua.
Police said that on the basis of information given by District Special Branch (DSB) Samba, a police team of Police Station Ghagwal headed by SHO Ghagwal and under the supervision of Dy SP Headquarter Samba it intercepted one person at Main Chowk Ghagwal and while frisking him 175 Proxyvon Capsules were recovered from his possession.
He was arrested along with the contraband on the spot and a case FIR No. 57/2017 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at the Police Station Ghagwal against him and investigation is going on. It may be recalled that Samba Police on the directives of SSP Samba, Anil Magotra has launched a continuous drive against the drug peddlers in the district.
