JAMMU, Aug 21: A meeting of J&K Government Employees and Workers Federation (GEWF) held under the chairmanship of its president Kulwant Singh expressed concern over Government’s attitude towards employees.
While speaking, Kulwant Singh said that the Government is back tracking from its written agreement made with JCC leaders, which included removal of pay anomalies of different cadres, policy for regularization of daily rated workers who have completed 7 years of service after 1994, settling the grievances of public sector employees, Rehbar-e-Taleem, Anganwari workers, regulation of promotion of different cadre, implement the DA order in favour PSU employees and enhancement of retirement age from 58 to 60 years.
Shahid Hussain in his speech appealed to all sections of employees’ union, associations and federations to remain united and make two days strike on August 22 and 23 a success.
Among others present were Tilak Raj, Ranjit Singh, Raju Kumar, Kulesh Kumar, Rohit George, Balbir Singh, Manjit Singh, Manohar Lal, Gaganvir, etc.
