General Line Teachers meet DSE

JAMMU, Aug 2: A deputation of General Line Teachers Forum led by its President, Neeraj Sharma here today met Rakesh Kumar Srangal, Director School Education (DSE) Jammu and submitted him a memorandum of demands signed by Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, Advisor to Governor, N.N Vohra.
The deputation discussed the demands like constitution of Departmental Promotion Committee to confirm all the Lab Assistants, Junior Assistants etc working in their own pay and grade since 2014 without any service benefits.
The second demand was the inclusion of names of all the Lab Assistants in the functional promotion list of teachers at par with their juniors, whose names were dropped in the recently issued promotion list of teachers.
Issue of transfer of teachers serving in hard zones of Rajouri district was also discussed and the deputation said that it is the legitimate right of all teachers working in hard zone to get transferred to soft zones after a year.
The deputation further demanded issuance of general confirmation order in favour of all those employees who have completed their two years of satisfactory regular probation period of service.
The Director assured the deputation to redress all the demands.
