MENDHAR, Dec 22: The NSS unit of Government Degree College, Mendhar in collaboration with 37 RR of Army organized an extension lecture today on the topic “Drug Abuse”.
The programme was presided over by Dr Javaid Ahmed Qazi Principal of the college. Captain Dr Rakesh Kumar was the recourse person from 37 RR on the occasion.
The programme was attended by all the students along with faculty members from different departments of the college.
Dr Rakesh using power point presentation delivered an impressive lecture on the topic and discussed each and every aspect of this menace which is showing its ugly head in the society. He further described that the most vulnerable part of society to drugs are the adolescents — the students in the schools and colleges.
Principal Dr Javaid Ahmed Qazi appreciated the efforts of 37 RR and NSS unit of the college for organizing such an extension lecture which is helpful for the betterment of student fraternity.
Among the faculty prominent were Prof Shokit Hussain, Prof Sarshad Hussain, Prof A A Choudhary, Dr Mohd Azam and Prof Javid Iqbal. At the end vote of thanks was presented by Prof Sarshad Hussain.
