JAMMU, Oct 30: GD Goenka Public School, Jammu, governed by Om Prakash Bansal Charitable Trust, conducted Elocution/ Declamation/Soliloquy activity via IMO with their British Council partner school- Birla World School, Salalah, Oman on the topic “Contemporary Writers & Poets in the field of Literature”, here today.
The students were dressed up as the writers /poets of their wish and they recited their works. An IMO, video chat session was scheduled wherein the children were connected online and they presented their work to each other.
Colourful dresses and masks, prolific writers, mesmerizing poetry was all so well knit that it seemed another world, itself.
The session was conducted for about an hour and the children kept going on and on, speaking and presenting the versatility with such expertise and precision.
This was a great learning experience for the students as they learned to express their views and opinions spontaneously.
The eloquent manner in which the students presented their thoughts and opinions was commendable.
They were judged on the basis of content, fluency, expression etc.
The activity concluded with the children cheering each other and becoming friends for a lifetime.
The Principal highly appreciated the staff and students of Birla World School, Salalah, Oman and fixed another date for next activity.
