GCW organizes lecture

KATHUA, June 8: The Department of Computer Science, Government Degree College for Women, Kathua organized a lecture on “Cybercrime-Types and Reporting” on the occasion of observing Cyber Jaagrukta (Awareness) Diwas today under the guidance of Principal Dr Sangita Nagari.
Pankaj Nandan, Associate Professor in Computer Application from GCW, Kathua was the resource person on the occasion. He made the students aware about what is cybercrime, its types, why it is important to know about cybercrime and what is cyber security. He made the students to know what to do and how to file a complaint under cybercrime online in India using National Crime Reporting Portal (NCRP) of India.
A large number of students attended the lecture and during the interactive session, students actively participated while putting up the queries to the Resource Person.
Prof Ravinder Kour, Dr Babita Jamwal, Dr Naresh Sharma, Dr Arun Dev Singh, Prof Barun Kumar Bhatti, Prof Vijay Kumar and other faculty members were also present.
