JAMMU, Mar 11: Gujjar Bakerwal Desh Youth Body (GBDYB) has demanded rehabilitation of Gujjar and Bakerwal community with political reservation in Assembly.
Addressing a press conference, Ch Nazakat Khatan, State president, Gujjar Bakerwal Desh Youth Body said that “We Gujjar and Bakerwal are used only for voting. It is our right to vote for a good Government. Every party before election comes to us and promise for development of the community but after election, they become invisible for the Gujjars”.
He added that “when they need crowd in rallies Gujjar are out there. We vote and participate in their functions, but after voting our requirement are nothing for them”.
He also said that “Gujjar Bakerwals need to boycott Lok Sabha election”. He cited some example of some Ministers and said the members of the communities are not allowed in their offices. Is this the reward of our voting”, he questioned?
