JAMMU, Feb 23: Gaurav Gupta, former General Secretary of Chamber of Commerce and Industry today sought the LG Manoj Sinha Government’s support for fostering the existing industries in the Jammu region.
In a statement issued here, Gupta welcome the Administrative Council’s recent approval for the establishment of seven new industrial estates in J&K.
He highlighted the visionary leadership of the Lieutenant Governor and his slogan of “Viksit Jammu,” which underscores the overarching goal of comprehensive development of the Union Territory.
Recognizing the potential for growth and progress in the existing industries sector, he called for the hand-holding of these industries by the incumbent Government and urged the government to fulfil their promise of providing turnover incentives to existing industrial units.
He also appealed the Lieutenant Governor to prioritize providing essential support mechanisms to foster the sustainability and prosperity of existing industries in the Jammu region, thereby unlocking the region’s full potential for economic development and contributing to the overall progress of Jammu and Kashmir.
