GANDERBAL, July 24: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga, today visited the cloudburst hit areas of Kulan Kangan in Ganderbal district and took stock of the situation there.
Accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shahnawaz Bukhari and other officers of district administration, the Minister inspected the affected areas of Kulan including Baba Mohalla, Hajam Mohalla, Shah Mohalla and Sheikh Mohalla. While interacting with the affected people, the Minister assured all possible help to the effected families.
The Minister also visited the bereaved family to offer his condolences. The Minister gave Rs 10000 to the only surviving child of the family from his own pocket.
The Minister also inspected the temporary shelter site located for the affected families and directed the administration to make available all basic facilities to them.
