SAMBA, Sept 18: Senior BJP leader and ex-Minister, Chander Parkash Ganga,  paid homage to Shaheed Ravi Paul during commemoration of  Shaheed Diwas of the martyr Havaldar Ravi Paul of 10 Dogra BN, at his native village Sarwa, Ramgarh.
Recalling the valor of security forces in upholding the integrity and sovereignty of the nation, Ganga said that their supreme sacrifices will always remain a guiding force for the posterity besides infusing patriotic fervor among the youth. He said this while paying homage to Shaheed Ravi Paul, who achieved matrydom while fighting militants in Uri in 2016.
“The country will always remain indebted for the supreme sacrifices of the brave soldiers in service of the nation”, he maintained.
“Army holds special place in our hearts and we are proud of their supreme sacrifices for the cause of the nation”, he asserted. He added that celebration of such occasions in memory of martyrs is imperative to recall the sacrifices of those who scripted a saga of valour as this will be of great help in enthusing a patriotic fervor among the youth who are unfortunately marching towards self decay”, he asserted.
Ganga said that it is only due to the security forces that we enjoy a happy and peaceful life with our families in a total secure environment.
On the occasion, children presented devotional songs as tribute to Ravi Paul besides son of the martyr Vansh also presented poem as a mark of his love for his father.
Former Minister and district president Congress, Samba Manjit Singh also paid rich tributes to martyr Hav Ravi Paul at a function organised by Army at his native village Sarwa.
Paying tributes to martyr Manjit Singh said that the sacrifices of great soldiers will always be remembered as it is due to their dedication, bravery, sacrifices that the common citizens are safe and secure. Each drop of blood shed by Jawans gives strengthen to the nation and the entire country is indebted to the martyrs, freedom fighters and their families, he added.
