Ganga launches blacktopping work on roads in border areas

JAMMU, June 2: Member Legislative Assembly (MLA) and former Minister Chander Prakash Ganga today launched blacktopping work on various internal roads at Rangoor Camp, Rangarh under CM’s commitment.
Ganga, while addressing the people on the occasion, said that sticking to its agenda of creating durable assets under all development sectors in the State, the Coalition Government has succeeded in expanding a firm road network in almost every part.
He said that numerous schemes have been launched by the Center and the State Governments to empower the people of Jammu and Kashmir socially, economically and politically. He credited the people’s cooperation also in getting the desired and targeted outcome of several welfare and development programmes launched for larger interest of the society.
MLA, while elaborating on development works in the area, said that the main road from Jasso Chak to Nanga has also been sanctioned and the work on it will start soon.
He also informed that soon a Maha Sabha would be organized in the village to listen to the public grievances besides redressing some of the issues on the spot.
Talking to the media about the facilities for the people in border belts, the MLA informed that about 2500 individual bunkers are being created in border areas to provide shelter to the people in their own areas in case of shelling from across the border. Besides, the Government is raising better basic amenities in these border areas so that the people here do not have to face any difficulty on this account.
Among others present on the occasion were Xen PWD K.S.Nathyal, Kartar Chand, Narindèr Sharma Block President Ramgarh, Keshav Sharma, Shamsher Singh and Jai Ram Sharma.
