PUNE, Aug 5: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga today inaugurated the 20th Edition of the Express Technology Sabha being organized by the Indian Express Group at Pune.
The event was organized by the Express Computer Magazine which for over 27 years been covering e- governance and enterprise technology. The event started by lighting of traditional lamp by the Minister.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasized the role of e-governance in curbing corruption and bringing transparency in the working of the Government. He invited major IT companies to invest in IT sector in Jammu and Kashmir – highlighting the rich human resource available in the State. He also requested the heads of various companies to take initiatives for skill development in the State of Jammu and Kashmir.
J. Satyanarayan , Advisor to Government of Andhra Pradesh-the State known for its initiatives in the field of e-governance and the IT hub of country, V.K. Gautam Principal Secretary (IT), Government of Maharashtra and Chander Shekhar Kumar, Transport Commissioner, Government of Odisha also spoke on the occasion.
The event is being attended by more than 200 delegates from various State Governments, IT companies and experts.
The Express Technology Sabha since its inception as the country’s premier e- governance forum gathers key practitioners of Information Technology to facilitate exchange of knowledge on the IT initiatives that Government organizations can take to bring efficiency and transparency to their operations.
The event is being organised from August 4 to 7.
Amit Sharma, MD, SIDCO and Saadut Hussain , CEO, J&K e-Governance Agency are also participating in the event.
