Ganga for better road connectivity in rural areas

JAMMU, Aug 25:  Minister for Industries & Commerce, Chander Parkash Ganga kick started macadamization work on 4 km long road from Jakh to Chak Daulat taken up under NABARD in Phase-1 at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.5 crore, here today.
Reiterating Government’s commitment to work for development of rural areas, Ganga said that Government’s priority is to create sustainable public infrastructure with special focus on improving road connectivity, which will lead to the socio-economic development of the people.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister said that concerted efforts are apace to develop infrastructure and provide better civic amenities to the people especially in rural areas.
Ganga said that this road project will meet the long pending demand of the locals.He said that during Phase-1, the road will bring better connectivity to villages like Jakh , Dabuj Shehzad, Dabuj Kaka ,Bhagat Pura ,Rari ,Rara and Chak Daulat and in Phase -2, it will connect to  Ramgarh road .
The Minister directed the concerned officials to ensure the time bound completion of the project while ensuring quality of work.
Stressing on adequate drainage, Ganga instructed the officials to construct proper drainage system alongside the road to tackle the problem of water logging.
Later, the Minister convened public grievance redress camp at Dabuj and gave a patient hearing to issues raised by the public. The Minister assured them that all their genuine concerns will be looked into on priority and directed the concerned officials to take adequate measures to mitigate the problems of the people in a time bound manner.
