UDHAMPUR, Sept 7: Udhampur Police busted a gang of burglars with the arrest of 12 alleged thieves and recovered stolen articles worth lacs of rupees, from the possession of accused.
The gang was active in the area for the last one year. The stolen property, recovered on their disclosure, included bikes, scooty, LEDs, computer accessories, Mobile Phone, Dry batteries, cosmetic items and cash.
The arrested accused were identified as Bobby, Kaki, Bhanu, Iftkar and Ashoo of Magani Udhampur, Nadeem Bani, Ab Momim and Jaidev Singh of Champa Batote, Mohd Simran of Kasim Nagar Jammu, Ankush of Bakshi Nagar Jammu, Ravinder Singh of Dharamkund Ramban and Mohd Tariq of Bhagta Katra.
The gang was busted by a special team, comprising of SHO Udhampur, Inspector Arjun Singh Chib, SHO Rehambal Inspector O P Chib, Sub- Inspector Sohan Singh and others under the close supervision of SSP Udhampur Mohd Suleman Choudhary.
