SRINAGAR: Governor N N Vohra on Friday appointed former Chief Information Commissioner (CIC) Khurshid Ahmad Ganai, a retired IAS officer, as his third advisor with effect from the date he assumes charge, an official spokesman said here this evening.
He said an order issued by the General Administration Department, the terms and conditions of his appointment shall be notified separately. Ganai only yesterday resigned as State CIC.
Besides Ganai, the Governor has two Advisors BB Vyas, former Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir and K Vijay Kumar, former Special Security Advisor to the Ministry of Home Affairs, both of whom he had appointed on June 21 — two days after the State was brought under the Governor’s rule. (AGENCIES)
