JAMMU, May 13: MLA R S Pura, Dr. Gagan Bhagat today kick-started black-topping work, near Belol bridge and after paying tributes to the martyrs of Army, JKP, and para military forces who laid down their lives for nation, Dr.Gagan started the blacktopping from Indiranagar near the Belol bridge, Miran Sahib to P.V.C Bana Singh Stadium R.S Pura.
He said that the area will be beautified so that one who enters the constituency feels a difference. He laid stress on plantation and landscaping near the entry point at Gadigarh. The black topping work of the road was the longest pending demand of the local residents of the R.S Pura Sub-Division.
Dr. Gagan said the total length of the blacktopping of road stretch is about 10 kilometers from Belol bridge,Gadigarh to P.V.C Bana Singh Stadium and an amount of Rs. 5 crores under the Central Roads Fund (CRF) will be spent on it .
He said it was a long pending demand of the people of the area and the issue was raised by the locals during the time of election.
Dr. Gagan said that the Modi Government at the Centre is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of three regions of the State including drinking water, road connectivity, electricity, health services, drainage system and education.
He said Union Government headed by Mr Modi has been providing liberal funding to the State for accelerating developmental and economic activities.
He said that there was no constraint of funds for completing the ongoing projects in a time bound manner.
