Excelsior Correspondent

JAMMU, May 23: All J&K Gaddi Sippi Tribes Welfare Association demanded establishment of an Advisory Board for the development of the Gaddi and Sippi tribes and earmarking of special economic package to these tribes in the annual budget.
Addressing a press conference, Prof BP Singh Chouhan, State president of the association flayed the Government for not making any endeavour for socio-economic development of Gaddi and Sippi tribes.
He said that the Government has excluded these marginalized and deprived tribes in social, political, educational and economic spheres.
Government has failed to provide basic amenities to these tribes due to which these tribes are living a life of deprivation, poverty, misery and destitution.
