GA Tak passes away

Jammu, Jan 27: Prominent Jurist and retired District and Sessions Judge Ghulam Ahmed Tak, breathed his last on January 26 after a brief illness at Jammu. He was 94.
The deceased was laid to rest, last evening, at Gujjar Nagar graveyard in Jammu. Thousands of people participated in the funeral prayer of the departed soul.
Prominent among those present were Minister for Planning and Development, Ajay Sadhotra, Minister of State for Industries and Commerce, Sajjad Ahmed Kichloo, Economic Advisor to the Government Jaleel Ahmed Khan, MLA Inderwal GM Saroori, Provincial President National Conference Jammu, Devender Singh Rana, Justice (Retired) OP Sharma, Justice (Retired) GD Sharma, sitting Judges of the subordinate Judiciary and President Bar Association Jammu.
Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Hassan Mir, MLC Sheikh Ghulam Rasool and MLC RS Chib also visited the residence of Mr. Tak today to express condolence with the bereaved family.
Mr. Tak was a well known figure in the judicial and political circles of Jammu and Kashmir and retired as Registrar, High Court, J&K in the year 1973. He also served as a member Anti-Corruption Tribunal in the year 1979 for three years up to March 31, 1982.
