JAMMU, Feb 28: The final match of the volleyball tournament organized under the civic action programme was conducted by the 137 Battalion, CRPF Udhampur in coordination with the Volleyball Association, Udhampur at the SRTC campus here today.
The tournament witnessed enthusiastic participation from local clubs and culminated in an exciting final between Fusion Volleyball Club and Udhampur Volleyball Club.
A large number of dignitaries and sports lovers were present on the occasion. Prominent among them included MLA Chenani Balwant Singh Mankotia, Sukhdev Singh, vice-president, J&K Kisan State Morcha, Kripal Singh, Manager SRTC, M K Sicon, Commandant 137 Bn CRPF, Kartar Singh, Second-in-Command, RL Meena and Suresh, Deputy Commandants, and Dr Manish Rundla, Medical Officer.
Also present were Ashok Padha, president Volleyball Association Udhampur and executive member J&K Volleyball Association, Kuldeep Sharma, joint secretary Volleyball Association Udhampur, along with PEMs and Deputy SSOs Naveen Kumar, Sanjay Sharma, Manik Nargotra, Vinod Sharma and PET Amit Sharma.
The tournament saw participation from Fusion Club, Veer Volleyball Club, CVC Volleyball Club, UVC Volleyball Club, Friends Volleyball Club and Ramnagar Volleyball Club.
CRPF personnel and local coaches jointly conducted the final match and organized team-building drills, highlighting the role of sports in promoting discipline, fitness and positive engagement among youth.
